PMMA sheets opal
Description:
PMMA is an economical alternative to polycarbonate (PC) when tensile strength, flexural strength, polishability, and UV tolerance are more important than impact strength, chemical resistance and heat resistance.
PMMA is 100% recyclable, it can be formed into sheets that are used in construction for windows and doors, medical sector, advertising industry and more.
The material is similar to polycarbonate and is suitable for use as an impact resistant alternative to glass (particularly when the high impact strength of PC is not required). It is generally considered one of the clearest plastics on the market.
Acrylic has unique physical properties and performance characteristics. It weighs half as much as glass, and is up to 10 times more impact resistant.
Acrylic sheet has outstanding weatherability and formability, and can be formed into a variety of shapes making it ideally suitable for many end users such as illuminated signs, point of sale displays, furniture, skylights and architectural glazing.
- Thermoformable
- UV and impact resistance
- Light diffuser
- Light transmission
Our Opal acrylic sheet is a high-quality, durable product. Opal acrylic is a thermosetting plastic with an excellent surface finish, flatness , and being opaque.
Opal extruded acrylic sheet can be used for lightbox applications. The light transmitted through the opal sheet receives maximum haze and subsequently offers maximum light diffraction. Can be used like alternative of models, windows, doors, barriers, furnitures, exhibits, signage etc.
